What to Expect

The Glens Falls Classic Criterium will take place on the iconic downtown streets. A fast-paced .7 mile closed loop will create an epic day of racing, where handling, positioning, and tactics matter as much as raw power. With turns packed into every lap, this technical course rewards the riders who can corner cleanly, stay near the front, and time their move at just the right moment. The race starts and finishes on Glen Street, the heart of downtown, where the strong and the savvy will fight for the line in front of the biggest crowd of the day.

Not a cyclist? Lace up for the unique, crowd pleasing Glens falls Mile Run, which also starts and ends on Glen Street and uses the same fully closed streets. It’s a great way to say you ran the course before the racers take over. Between races, the Wheelie Competition puts the front wheel in the air and the crowd on its feet. Spots are limited, so sign up and send it on Glen Street!

Spectators will line the entire course, cheering, ringing cowbells, and watching the action unfold lap after lap, all while enjoying food and drinks from Glens Falls’ restaurants, bars, and shops. Because the loop is so compact, you can watch the racers fly past again and again from almost anywhere along the route. Make a day of it by exploring the rest of the Gateway to the Adirondacks.

So bring your friends and family for a high-energy day in the streets of Glens Falls. Stick around after the final race for the Glens Falls Classic Block Party, taking over from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM. Racing, food, music, and community come together for a one-of-a-kind afternoon and evening downtown. Advocacy and vendors will be on hand all day as well.
